The Leather District is a quaint nine-block neighborhood adjacent to Chinatown that has recently emerged as its own distinct community. It has the oldest and most historc Diner located there, the South Street Diner that is also the only 24 hour diner in the city of Boston. It is situated between Dewey Square and Kneeland Street, the Leather District allows its residents to enjoy the loft-style living that most of the now-converted leather factories offer. Properties in this community are a fair mix of both residential and commercial, and locals are able to enjoy the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway which is only a short walk from the Leather District.
